Students who have not paid their tuition and fees or arranged for a payment plan by the Last Day to Pay Registration Fees to Avoid Cancellation Date for their enrollment session will have their registration canceled for non-payment.

Sessions shorter than the traditional 16 weeks, are prorated according to the length of the session in proportion to the traditional 16-week session. Please check the course schedule or contact the college registrar for specific sessions and dates.
Please see Section 5 - Financial Related Policies of the website (http://www.kctcs.edu/employee/policies/) for specifics on KCTCS policy regarding cancellation of registration for nonpayment of fees.
Refund Policy
An academic term is defined as an administrative time period within which sessions are defined. An academic session is a class scheduling/enrollment time period within an academic term.
Students passing a special examination for credit are not eligible for a reduction or refund of tuition and fees for the credit hours awarded as a result of passing the special examination.
In order for a student to receive a refund, a student must officially withdraw within the refund period specified with this policy.
To assure recovery of federal financial aid funds, effective with the fall term 2000, the Kentucky Community and Technical College System adopted the Federal Return of Title IV Funds policy as described in section 668.22 of the Higher Education Amendments of 1998.
The president and/or CEO of the community/technical college is authorized to approve and implement limited exceptions to this refund policy. All exceptions granted must be documented and documentation retained for audit purposes. Community/technical college president/CEO exceptions shall not relieve the student of the responsibility to provide official notification of withdrawal through the community/technical college as an eligibility requirement to receive a refund. All exceptions to the refund policy must ensure compliance with relevant regulations promulgated by authorized agencies of the federal, state, and local government.
